Write to the editors
The form on this page reaches the editors directly. You can also write to info@vietnamawesome.com. We read every message, and reply by email to the address you give when a reply is needed.
What to write to us about
- Corrections. A price, a season, an access rule or a distance that is wrong or out of date.
- Questions about a page. Something unclear, or a question the page should answer and does not.
- Advertising enquiries. Questions about the labelled advertising spaces on the site.
- Something else. A place you think the guide should cover, or a source we have missed.
Corrections are the messages we value most. Seasons shift, parks change prices and storms damage roads faster than any guide can track, and people who have just been somewhere are often the first to know.
What makes a correction useful
- Which page, and which sentence or table row?
- What did you find instead?
- When? The date matters, because seasons and prices change.
- How do you know? A link to an official notice, a ticket, or what you saw on the ground.
A photograph of a price board or a notice is helpful if you have one; mention it in your message and we will ask for it by email.
What we cannot help with
- Booking tours, caves, transport or accommodation. The guide does not sell or arrange travel.
- Getting a place on a Son Doong expedition, or any permit. Only the permitted operator and the authorities can do that.
- Emergencies. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services and your embassy or consulate.
- Live road or weather conditions. Use the official forecast, local news and the people at the site.
If you are not sure whether a question fits, send it anyway. A question we cannot answer yet tells us what readers need and is often how a new section starts.
How replies work
Messages from the form go to the editors. If your message needs an answer, we reply by email to the address you give. If it is a correction, you will see the change on the page and in the corrections log on the about page once we have confirmed it. Checking a correction against a source can take longer than writing back.
We do not publish your name or your message. A correction that we use is credited to “a reader” unless you ask to be named. The privacy page lists the fields the form collects and what happens to them.
The subject, your name, your email and your message are required. The extra details — which page or place, when you were there and where your information comes from — are optional, but they help us check a report quickly.
Advertising enquiries
Advertising on this site appears only in spaces labelled “Advertisement”, kept apart from the text. If you would like to know about those spaces, choose the advertising subject on the form and tell us which pages or subjects you have in mind. Advertising does not buy a mention in the text and does not change what a page says; the about page sets out that policy in full.
We do not accept advertising for products that conflict with the guidance on the site, such as wildlife products or trips into closed areas.
Before you write
Look at the last-checked date under the section you are writing about. If the date is recent and your information is older, the page may already reflect the change. If the source linked there says something different from the page, that is exactly the kind of report we want.
Common questions
Questions readers ask
How quickly do you reply?
We reply by email when a message needs an answer. Corrections are checked against a source before a page changes, which can take longer than a reply.
Can I phone the editors?
The guide works by email and the form only. No phone number is published.
Will you publish my name?
Not unless you ask. A correction is credited to “a reader” by default.
